About us

Integrated Building & Engineering Consultancy (Integrated) provides professional Building and Engineering Consultancy services that are focused on the requirements, dynamics and legislative obligations specific to the Strata and Building Sectors. We specialise in the identification and diagnosis of building maintenance and/or defect issues and provide expert remedial recommendations and reporting advice as well as the necessary support required to facilitate the remediation of those issues. Integrated are registered Engineers and Principal Design Practitioners under the Design Building & Practitioners Act (DBPA) and employs qualified and/or experienced experts in their respective fields. Integrated has been trading consistently for over 20 years under various business structures and since March 2019 Integrated has been under new management with a focus on professional and client driven outcomes. Integrated is considered an established market leader in the strata and remedial building sectors.

Contract Administration

Developing Scopes of Works & Specifications allowing the calling of comparative quotations from contractors.

  • Tendering - Integrated will tender out the Scope of Works to a minimum of three remedial contractors from our ‘Preferred Contractors List’, attend an on-site meeting with the contractors and prepare a Tender Analysis Document.

Contract Administration: -

  • Drafting and reviewing the contracts between the contractor and the client.
  • Integrated will facilitate any contract amendments between the parties and see to the exchange of the contract between the two parties
  • Integrated will organise and chair a pre-start meeting prior to the commencement of the works.
  • Integrated shall inspect the works once a week and/or at deemed applicable Hold Points and provide a weekly update report outlining the overall observations, progress, quality and compliance of works completed. It also summarises the financial status of the contract and completion timeframe for the works at that point in time.
  • Progress claim inspections shall be carried out by Integrated at the stage or time as indicated in the building contract and process same once approved.
  • Assessing and processing approved Variation submissions.

Litigation Support

  • A Preliminary Building Defects Report (suitable for providing to the original builder to reply/facilitate a potential agreement); 
  • A Litigation Compliant Building Defects Report substantiating the defect determination via nominating the breaches of the National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards, Home Building Act and any provided building plans, specifications, schedule of finishes etc as deemed applicable.

  • Integrated can also provide Expert Conclave services in order to review and negotiate defect items prior to mediation or litigation - reducing overall litigation costs and court time for our clients.

  • Expert Determinations & Expert Evidence Reports suitable for Mediation and Litigation for all matters of building and construction disputes.

  • Expert Conclave services.

  • Expert Reponses – providing expert determinations in reply to other expert reports regarding purported defects/issues.

  • Expert Witness services in all tribunal and court jurisdictions
